[ Probably, like, a couple hours after his network post. You know, whenever he's back in his quarters, which Jessica finds out about by following some people and asking others and it's not weird, it's whatever, she's observant, they've been here for longer than she probably cares to examine so she knows where some people sleep.
There's a mug waiting for him. Inside it are chocolate covered espresso beans. There is no note!
But anyway, it's from Jessica, who pretended not to stare at the door to his shared quarters for ten minutes and ended up not knocking and sort of leaving the mug there instead.
Enjoy your mystery mug, Poe. ]

- Where we went wrong before going over - Rectifying that - Potential for consequences of the hostile slime was sentient
[ He doesn't need to ask Poe how he's doing; they saw enough of each other in the last stretch getting out of there and debating the derelict's fate. Besides, every vibe he's gotten from the other man is familiar. And Jim's fine, so. ]
Not enough coordination, for the first. And - I've been meaning to talk to everyone again on the network, like I did with the piloting lessons. It was in the cards before already, but I think this just hits home the need.
Yeah. The jobs or crew positions are pretty meager, not everyone has one, not everyone's bound to a bunk, even trying to do an after-action headcount's gonna suck - we could do with training everyone on emergency procedures even if they don't want to work. What's your pitch, to talk to people about?
Yeah, me too. And I'm not saying I disagree with doing what we did, I think given we've got a boat full of civilians and no help out here that destroying it was the most reasonable call. I may also write a report and log dissenting opinions and highlight how hobbled we ended up, though, as much as that chafes against my dislike of bureaucracy.
I think the best we can hope for is that people are keeping track of each other at least somewhat. That if someone goes missing, someone will notice.
What emergency procedures do you have in mind?
There's a couple talking points I want to hit. Getting to the anomaly. Maybe setting up some kind of command structure beyond Perseus; I don't think he's programmed to do the job he's doing right now. Some additional information storage, in case something goes wrong with Perseus or the ship's databases. [ ahsoka's idea ] Contingency, mostly. Using the buddy system.
I think it was the right call, but if we're sharing - my worst fear is that we didn't get everyone off that ship before we destroyed it. That someone might've still been alive there.
[ I DEFINITELY DID NOT ACCIDENTALLY DELETE MY OWN REPLY TO THIS THREAD
JIM AND POE TALKED ABOUT RESPONSIBILITY AND LEADERSHIP AND DECIDED TO PUSH FOR CO-CO-CAPTAINCY (three of them) (is that tri captaincy) OF THE SHIP IF PERSEUS WILL ROLL WITH IT
[ ah, hell. that's-- a pity, as far as poe is concerned personally, worrisome as far as the commander in him is concerned, but one way or another, poe knows he'll be okay.
that may not be the case, as far as loki is concerned. poe doesn't think he has any particular insight into their relationship, but --maybe some. ]
[ he woke up to an empty bed. thor and his things were gone. as if everything that had happened was a figment of loki's imagination. an illusion.
is he surprised? no. hurt? maybe. deep down, the machinery of his heart coils to a stop. but like any machine, it can be roused again. loki has crossed worse milestones, has suffered worse betrayals.
still. memory is a curse. and loki never forgets. ]
I'll be fine. He got what he wanted.
[ a hammer. fracturing loki. all in a day's work for thor. ]
The only thing Thor has ever cared about, the only thing he has ever chased is his own worth. Nothing else has ever mattered more. Not the throne, not his power, not responsibility or his family.
[ by poe's doorstep, there'll be a little globe, much like a snowglobe. except within it, there's a galaxy. his galaxy. the stars swirl in the palm of his hand.

And I'm really hoping it wasn't sentient.

The pedestal of goodness is all Thor needs.

yeah, i would
